The Leaving Certificate Student Service includes:

The Leaving Certificate Student Service includes:

  • A video call to identify your goals / why you are connecting with Career Insights
  • Career focused psychometric testing
  • A review of your completed client form that includes recent academic grades, anticipated future grades, current course selection, career aspiration (if known), work experience (if any), internships, sport activities
  • 3 Hour in Person / Virtual Meeting with us that includes:

    • Discussion / Discovery of your Academic / Career Goals, Challenges, Concerns, etc.
    • Review of Psychometric Testing Results (informative not determinative)
    • Review of Current Course Selection
    • Calculation of Potential / Likely Leaving Certificate Points
    • Discussion of 3rd Level Options
    • Completion of Initial CAO Submission

  • Follow up call/correspondence

How we Work Together

The Leaving Certificate Student Service begins with the student learning about themselves. We start with an in-depth discussion about their interests, any goals they may have, an academic overview, input from parents, guardians and psychometric testing. Psychometric testing results do not determine any outcome, they are just one additional piece of data to help us create a tailored academic / career plan.

Once a new client assessment has been completed, a broad review of many potential career paths occurs to determine a client’s interest level. As we move through the program, we tend to see light bulbs going off in our students. Career Insights never make decisions for clients. The goal is always to help clients better understand themselves and explore their potential academic and career paths.
